Phase modeling of indoor radio propagation channels
Two models for generating phase of individual multipath components in an indoor environment, partly developed in [1], have been studied in detail. In the deterministic phase increment model (model I), phase of each multipath component is updated deterministically using several independent random scatterers. In the random phase increment model (model II), phase of each multipath component is upd...
متن کاملWideband Propagation Measurements for Indoor Radio Channels at 62.4GHz
This paper reports 62.4GHz fixed wideband propagation measurements undertaken in six different LOS indoor environments (corridors and rooms) inside three buildings. Measurement analyses are presented in respect of static RMS delay spreads and received signal level. Uniformity of delay spread was observed for all the cases investigated. A correlation is observed with the static delay spread incr...
متن کاملIndoor radio propagation modeling for system performance prediction
This thesis aims at proposing all the possible enhancements for the MultiResolution Frequency-Domain ParFlow (MR-FDPF) model. As a deterministic radio propagation model, the MR-FDPF model possesses the property of a high level of accuracy, but it also suffers from some common limitations of deterministic models. For instance, realistic radio channels are not deterministic but a kind of random p...
متن کاملChannel modeling and adaptive equalization of indoor radio channels
This paper analyzes the benefits of using a decision feedback equalizer (DFE) in the indoor radio environment and examines the results of performance predictions for different channel modelings. It is found that a QPSK/DFE modem with second-order diversity can operate at a data rate which is an order of magnitude higher than a QPSK modem without equalization. A given set of measured profiles of...
متن کاملIndoor Radio Channel Modeling - Bridging from Propagation Details to Simulation
For the radio channel at 5.2 GHz in typical domestic and office environments, channel models which are suitable for simulations are presented. The way of deriving the models from ray tracing and wideband channel sounding is explained in detail. Results are given for the model parameters and the accuracy of the modeling method is discussed.
